Staff

We hope you are having a good spring semester. We're enjoying planning for our summer together. If your bones are still a little chilly, hang in there and look forward to the warm, sunny days that await you in Wildwood, New Jersey! We’re certainly excited about what God will do this summer and eagerly anticipate spending it with you. We are going to have a great summer. You won’t want the students from your campus(es) to miss out. So please be actively inviting them to join you in Wildwood.

Here’s (hopefully) all the info (including dates) you’ll need to prep for the summer. The "Students" page includes all the information for the students. Please read it thoroughly. (Disregard the “Are You Coming?” section and anything that pertains only to students).

Deaf/Hard-of-hearing Staff and Student-Staff Information

Things to pray about

We would love to have your students with us this summer so please encourage the students in your movements to consider joining us for an adventurous summer. Please pray for Dave, Lori and Aaron as we continue to plan. We are still hammering out some of the details of the project.

Pray for:

  • The Lord’s direction and wisdom.
  • Project logistics, administrative details and preparation.
  • Our students: that they would be mature and prepared for the summer.
  • We are praying for 67 students.
  • Wisdom and ideas in how to reach out to the 900 international students that come to Wildwood
  • For the staff team – have fun and work well together this summer.

Things to be familiar with

We are going to be spending a significant amount of time using:
  • "Godspace" by Doug Pollock
  • "5 Things" on the Allcallings.com website
  • "The Music of the Gospel" found in the White Papers (CCC wiki) written by Keith Johnson
  • Soularium and Perspectives evangelism tools
  • Modes of Evangelism (Time spent in each mode of witness at Wildwood: 20% ministry, 40% body, 40% relational)

Managing Expectations

  • Housing in Wildwood may or may not be as comfortable as what you've experienced on other projects.  Common challenges in some but not all of the housing at the Wildwood beach apartments are ants, mildew, living with other staff, no wifi, no laundry machines, airconditioning that has a hard time keeping up on the hottest days, having to walk several blocks to the project house, and other staff having more comfortable conditions than you.  We ask that you make the best of your housing arraingments, you may make requests according to your needs to the Operations Director, Aaron Halvorsen, at aaron.halvorsen@gmail.com, however in finding housing for 100 people on project together, sometimes your needs cannot be met.
